Setting alarms on Android using Google Voice Actions

Do you hate this UI of Android’s alarm clock app?  I hate it too; fiddling with the dial to set the time correctly, and to get the am/pm correctly can be annoyingly hard.

There’s an easier way: Google Voice Actions.

Tap on the microphone icon of Google search widget and say something like “set an alarm at six thirty am tomorrow” and you’re done!  (Or just say “alarm six thirty am”... after all that’s all a computer needs to hear :-)

  1. How do you cancel the alarm? Mine keeps reappearing everyday even after I go in and delete it from my list of alarms. Also, my phone won't go back to home page, its a black screen after setting an alarm w/ voice commands.

    1. Sounds to me like there's something else wrong with your phone. Without looking at your phone, it's hard to say. Trying a factory reset *may* help. (Make sure you back up all your data before attempting a factory reset!)

    1. I think cancelling is not supported yet. (It'll be nice if that worked.)
